Massachusetts Cultural Council honors city's Big Read program

Organizers of last year's 1 Adventure, 1 Book, 1 Community Big Read program were honored by the city Tuesday.
The kudos came in the wake of an award from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which gave the group its Gold Star designation for excellence in the promotion of community arts and culture.
ATTLEBORO - The Attleboro Cultural Council has announced that Attleboro's 1 Adventure 1 Book 1 Community reading project received a Massachusetts Cultural Council Gold Star Award for excellence in community arts and culture.
The award was announced at the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Statewide Assembly held at the Statehouse in Boston earlier this month.

ATTLEBORO - The Attleboro Cultural Council will recognize 29 outstanding grant recipients at a reception in their honor on Saturday, April 26. In conjunction with Earth Day celebration activities at Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary, grant recipients will meet and greet the community between noon and 4 p.m.
